​After an impressive run at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2014, New Room Theatre decided to bring the show to London in the autumn. Mark Jeary, a co-founder of New Room, wrote the verbatim piece using the interviews of several former alcoholics. 

 

I was chosen to re-direct the piece, after the previous director had to pull out of the London run, and very much enjoyed the challenge of working on a completely different type of play from my last. 

 

The three-week run was a great success, with several sold out nights, and very positive reviews. New Room Theatre are now working on taking Blackout on tour in 2015.
