Over several weeks, I workshopped with the children at Sycamore Short-Stay School in Dudley. The children took part in all aspects of creating an immersive storytelling piece, which was then presented to the school.

The workshops would change from week to week, depending on how big the class was, but would focus on designing and building the set and/or writing most weeks. We collected lots of materials from a nearby forest, to use in the creation of their own forest, which was the setting of their stories.

The script was written by two girls in the school, which we recorded and used as the soundscape for the opening of the space to the rest of the school. The school kept it on as a relaxing meditative room for the children to enjoy until the end of the school year.
